Email-Connection Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective Date: 01.01.2025
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the use of the email delivery, automation, and data-management services (the “Services”) provided by Email-Connection Ltd. (“Email-Connection,” “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By using the Services, you (“Customer”, “you”, or “your”) agree to comply with this AUP, which is incorporated by reference into the Email-Connection Terms of Service.
Email-Connection may update this AUP from time to time. Updated versions are effective upon posting on https://www.email-connection.com/aup.html.
1. Lawful and Responsible Use
1.1 Compliance with Laws.
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this AUP and all applicable laws and regulations, including the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and other anti-spam and data-protection laws.
1.2 Permission-Based Sending.
You may send commercial or promotional messages only to recipients who have provided explicit, verifiable consent (“opt-in”). The use of purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party lists is strictly prohibited.
1.3 Proof of Consent.
You must maintain records demonstrating recipient consent, including when and how such consent was obtained. Proof must be provided promptly upon Email-Connection’s request.
1.4 Accurate Sender Identification.
Emails must accurately identify the sender and domain. You may not falsify header information or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
1.5 Unsubscribe Mechanism.
Every marketing message must include a clear, functioning unsubscribe link. Requests must be processed promptly and in accordance with applicable laws.
1.6 Privacy and Data Protection.
You must maintain a publicly accessible privacy policy and handle all personal data in compliance with applicable data-protection laws and with Email-Connection’s Data Processing Agreement.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use, encourage, or allow others to use the Services to:
- Send unsolicited bulk or commercial email (“spam”);
- Send deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent content;
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
- Engage in phishing, spoofing, or impersonation of another person or entity;
- Promote or facilitate illegal, offensive, or unethical activities;
- Transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, or promotes discrimination or violence;
- Harvest or verify email addresses without consent;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or negatively impact Email-Connection’s network or reputation;
- Send content associated with industries or activities listed in the Prohibited or Restricted Industries appendix.
3. Sending Practices and Deliverability Standards
3.1 Reputation and Quality.
You must maintain bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe rates within industry-standard thresholds. Email-Connection reserves the right to set specific limits and take corrective measures to protect deliverability and infrastructure.
3.2 Monitoring and Reporting.
Email-Connection may monitor sending patterns, IP/domain reputation, and feedback loops to identify potential abuse. Customers agree to cooperate with any related investigation.
3.3 Infrastructure Integrity.
You may not take any action that could cause IP or domain blacklisting or otherwise harm Email-Connection’s sending reputation.
4. Enforcement and Remedies
4.1 Suspension or Termination.
Email-Connection may suspend or terminate Services immediately if it determines that your activity violates this AUP or poses a risk to its systems, customers, or reputation.
4.2 Investigation Cooperation.
You agree to cooperate with any compliance investigation, provide requested information, and cease transmission of any suspected abusive content.
4.3 Reporting Abuse.
To report spam or abuse originating from Email-Connection’s network, please contact: abuse@email-connection.com
4.4 Legal Cooperation.
Email-Connection may disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory bodies if required by law or necessary to investigate suspected misuse.
5. Prohibited or Restricted Industries
Email-Connection’s Services may not be used to send or promote content related to the following:
Illegal or High-Risk Activities
- Fraudulent or deceptive schemes, “get-rich-quick” programs, or Ponzi systems
- Activities violating applicable law or sanctions
- Money laundering or terrorist financing
Pharmaceuticals and Substances
- Unlicensed drugs, supplements, or paraphernalia
- Controlled or illegal substances
Financial & Investment Products
- Unregulated securities, crypto token sales, or HYIPs
- Payday lending, debt relief, or credit repair services
Weapons and Hazardous Goods
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or instructions for manufacture
Unethical or Misleading Practices
- List rental or third-party lead brokering
- Phishing, impersonation, or deceptive marketing
- Misleading “free trial,” sweepstakes, or fake job offers
Sensitive or Regulated Content
- Political or religious campaigns without prior approval
- Health or medical claims not substantiated by regulation
Email-Connection reserves the right to reject or suspend any account it deems high-risk or reputationally sensitive, even if not explicitly listed above.
6. Updates
Email-Connection may revise this AUP from time to time. The most current version will always be available at https://www.email-connection.com/aup.html
Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
